Location

For those that have no idea where Howick or KwaZulu Natal are, we're on the eastern side of South Africa in what we think is the best of all of the country's provinces.

Close to KwaZulu Natal's capital, Pietermaritzburg, Howick is also within easy reach of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park - one of South Africa's World Heritage Sites.

The Howick Falls, approximately 100 metres of spectacular display, is almost in the centre of the picturesque town itself. Known to the Zulu people as KwaNogqaza - Place of the Tall One - the falls were first seen by European adventurers in the early 19th Century, as transport riders and wagon trains pioneered routes inland from the coast.
